24 Oakley members met on August 31st for a reunion meal at The Villa, Wrea Green, and afterwards at the home of Ed and Laura Bury.

Hayden Cole, Jenny Whitehead and Chris Vernazza who had travelled from Tewkesbury, Crewe and Newcastle respectively to join the Lytham St. Annes group were especially welcomed.


The evening provided an opportunity to catch up with news and view photographs of the summer Oakley party, to hear about the recent 'A' level and GCSE results and to look at the revised Oakley brochure and discuss plans for Oakley activities in 2008.

Several Lytham members who were on holiday or working sent best wishes to the gathering - from Tobago, Greece, London, Manchester and Sheffield.

Friday 20 December has been pencilled in for the annual visit to Manchester which Julian Wilde is planning and details of this will be sent out later in the autumn.
