Russel Bailey elected new chair of trustees

group

Russel Bailey was elected as Chairman of the Trustees of Oakley Holidays at the annual meeting in November 2010.

Russel first attended an Oakley Holiday at Foremarke Hall in 1975, whilst a pupil at Bishop Vesey’s GS in Sutton Coldfield, and continued to serve as a leader during his university course in Manchester.

Throughout his career as a banker and more recently as a Knowledge Manager Russel has been a regular at Oakley and both his children, Emma and Michael, and his niece and nephew, Lydia and Joe, are current members.

Russel, his wife Janet, and their family now live in Oxfordshire and in recent years he has been active in introducing new members from that area to Oakley.

When Oakley became a registered charity in 2000 Russel was a founder member of the board of trustees and now takes over the reins as Chairman from Peter Downes with the best wishes of all Oakley members, present and past.
