9. Organise a Cake Day

30 pence!
This is a particularly popular and easy event to do at a school, with Sixth Formers doing the organizing and years 7 and 8 bringing the cakes. The School Council can usefully be involved.
Get the right day ( Friday ), right place to sell ( outside the main hall ), right time of day ( morning break), right product (cakes you can eat on the spot), right price ( 20 or 30 pence ) and right charity to support ( perhaps one which benefits children ) and you will make between £50 and £100 in ten minutes
The help of supportive teachers is important – particularly for sending a letter to parents requesting cakes, selling the idea in assembly, talking to the caretaker who will need to sweep up the debris.
Home made cakes and buns are best, but Mr. Kipling also makes exceedingly good cakes !
