Oakley Holidays is constituted as a limited company and a registered charity. The Trustees meet together annually and approved minutes of our Annual General Meeting are maintained by the Company Secretary. Financial statements are prepared
and agreed in accordance with our statutory obligations and necessary
information is filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission,
in accordance with our legal and charitable status. Welfare of participants We conduct a risk-assessment of our activities, with leaders trained in basic first-aid, and qualified life-guard supervision provided for use of the swimming pool. All participants submit a confidential medical form prior to attending the holiday, so leaders are aware of and can respond to special health needs. All leaders are provided with specific written guidance annually regarding their responsibilities in relation to other participants, including instruction and guidelines for health and safety and the welfare of minors. Guidance is regularly reviewed by the Trustees, and additional leadership guidance is provided at our Annual Conference. All leaders (including trustees) are required to provide at least one character reference from a referee independent of the organisation. For the purposes of child protection, photographs that are used by Oakley Holidays in its publications, including this website, are used to illustrate the holidays' activities rather than depict specific attendees. No individuals are identified without their permission (and other consent, where required). Data protection and information |
